1. How do I find out if I'm eligible to take this CA online traffic course?

Answer: When you register for this traffic course, we will tell you whether this course is approved in your state or court. However, you should always verify with your state or court before completing the course. Also, be sure to complete the course before your assigned court date or due date.

2. How long will it take to complete this traffic school course?

Answer: In California the course will either be 8 hours or 12 hours, depending on which course the Court ordered you to attend. Most Courts order the 8 hour course. You may stop and start the course as often as you like, and complete it at your leisure.

3. How long is the final exam?

Answer: The length of the final exam varies from state to state. The typical final exam is 25 to 40 multiple choice questions.

4. What if I fail the final exam?

Answer: Depending on your state's regulations, you may have the opportunity to retake the final exam if you fail. Each state determines how many attempts you will have to take the final exam. In California for example, you may retake the final exam as many times as necessary. With TOTTS, you never have to pay to retake the final exam.

5. Is your website secure?

Answer: Yes. 6. Do I need any special software to take this course?

Answer: No. All you need is a web browser and a connection to the internet. We support Microsoft Internet Explorer 8.0, Mozilla FireFox 3.6 , Google Chrome 5 , Safari 5, Opera 10 or greater. There is no software to download and nothing is saved to you computer's hard drive.

7. Can I change computers while I'm taking the course?

Answer: Yes. You can log in and out of the course from any computer with an internet connection.

8. How is my CA online traffic course completion certificate delivered?

Answer: In California, the certificate is electronically transmitted to the Court within 8 court business hours of the completion of the final exam, with no cost to you.

9. How long does it take to process the certificate?

Answer: TOTTS will ensure the certificate is transmitted to the appropriate Court within 8 court business hours of your successful completion of the course. After that, the ultimate processing of the certificate is within the sole control of the Court. The Court is also responsible for notifying the DMV of the successful completion of the course.

10. What if I lost my traffic school certificate and need another copy?

Answer: You may call a customer service representative 24 hours a day at 1-866-319-6010 to request a certificate reprint. We will send you the reprinted certificate via regular mail free of charge.

11. What credit cards do you accept? Can I use my debit card?

Answer: You can pay using a credit card or bank debit card with a Visa or Mastercard logo. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.

12. What is the course completion policy?

Answer: You must complete all sections and pass the final exam of the approved course in order to receive a completion certificate. We cannot issue a certificate if you have not met all the requirements for course completion.

13. What is the cancellation/refund policy?

Answer: If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with our course, you can cancel and get a refund so long as you have not completed the final exam.

14. How often can I take this CA online traffic course?

Answer: For pure educational purposes, you can take this course as often as needed. For credit with a court or state, however, it depends on the court or department that is offering you the opportunity to take the course. In most cases, the court or department will send you paper work stating that you can take the course. If you have not received permission to take the course, you must contact the court or department to see whether or not your are eligible to take this course.
